Step 1: Research the Market and Choose the Right Agent
Every good purchase starts with knowing where you want to live and who you want beside you.
Research the market
Turkey offers thousands of homes at very different prices, so begin by deciding which region and district fit your budget, lifestyle and goals. Turkey is larger than France, and the climate, culture and landscape change a lot from one region to the next. A foreign buyer can purchase up to 30 hectares of property.
Find an agent you trust
Compare agents and read their testimonials. An established record is a good sign, while a memorised sales pitch is a warning. Buying abroad is a lifestyle choice as much as a financial one, so the agent should understand the life you want, not just the price you can pay.
Build a real conversation
Speak openly and at length with your agent. The more they know about your needs, the better they can search for a home that fits, instead of pushing whatever they happen to be selling.
